Pour Homme Elixir is a men's fragrance by Azzaro from 2009, a sweet and warm version of the classic Pour Homme from 1978, created by perfumer Michel Girard. A warm oriental scent with a gourmand character, where pear, blackcurrant, bergamot, lemon and mandarin in the opening flow into a heart of geranium, lavender and spices, while a base of labdanum, benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, coumarin and oakmoss stays rich and enveloping.

Fun fact: Azzaro bottles from the era when the brand was owned by Clarins, before the L'Oréal acquisition, carry a 7 digit batch code. The third digit is the last digit of the production year, and the fourth and fifth digits show the month in reverse. On this bottle the digits point to late 2013, a period when the fragrance was at the height of its fame, a few years before it was gradually discontinued.
