The newest fragrance from the Paris house Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777, launched in 2025 and created by Stéphane Humbert Lucas himself together with Vincent Ricord. Incense, bergamot, blackcurrant, davana and spearmint on top, mint, osmanthus, jasmine sambac, clary sage and vetiver in the heart and a deep base of dates, resin, tobacco, birch, saffron and labdanum.

The fragrance is fresh and smoky, green and ambery at the same time. The mint gives it a cool, almost mentholated start, then dates, tobacco and resins make it warm, balsamic and slightly leathery. A unisex scent for people looking for something truly different, with a story and character.

Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 is one of the most opulent niche houses in Paris. Every bottle is a work of art, and this one comes in turquoise with a viper's head made of gold and red crystals. The number 777 stands for spiritual perfection, and the house's fragrances draw on the Orient, mythology and sacred texts.

The Queen and the Viper tells of a queen and her devotee, of a solar barque on the Nile and a sea split in two. It is a scent for the days of light, full of incense, papyrus and resins, exactly as the perfumer himself describes it.

Feel and longevity

The opening is cool and green with mint, bergamot and blackcurrant over a light smoke of incense. After an hour the mint steps back and osmanthus, jasmine and vetiver come forward, making the scent softer and warmer. The base of dates, tobacco, resins and saffron is dense and sweetly smoky and stays on the skin until the end of the day. Longevity is very good and projection strong in the first hours, so 2 to 3 sprays are enough. Best worn in spring and autumn, day and evening.
